American Job Center Hawaii, Workforce
American Job Center Hawaii, a program of the City & County of Honolulu’s Department of Community Services, is a one-stop center that provides employment training services to job seekers on Oahu.
Digital Ready Hawaii
By offering computer training, Digital Ready Hawaii’s long-term goal is to ensure “Hawaii will be one of the most digitally ready places in the world.” Komohale Services is grateful to the organization for making the Internet and technology accessible to rental residents.
Goodwill Hawaii
Komohale Services is grateful for the support from Goodwill Hawaii to provide financial literacy and workforce development training through the ALICE initiative with thanks to Aloha United Way and the Hawaii Community Foundation. In addition, Goodwill’s partnership with the Internal Revenue Service provides free tax preparation services to eligible tax filers.

The Hawaii HomeOwnership Center provides education, information and support to assist current renters strive toward the goal of owning a home.
Hawaii Literacy
The Hawaii Literacy bookmobile makes a weekly stop at Halekauwila Place to provide families with access to books and educational materials; the intent is children will develop a lifelong love of reading and learning.
Hawaii Pacific University School of Social Work
The School of Social Work of HPU’s College of Health and Society embraces dedicated individuals who want to make the world a better place. Field internships with Komohale Services provide graduate students with practical experience working directly with families and older individuals.
Lanakila Pacific/Senior Services
Lanakila Pacific is a valued partner in delivering local-flavored, fully cooked meals as well as offering a virtual gathering space for Pohulani Elderly residents to learn new skills and exercise together.
This is the Maui branch of American Job Center Hawaii, providing a one-stop resource center to job seekers on the Valley Island.
Komohale Services is pleased to partner with this nonprofit organization that offers free mobile health screening services and immunizations to rental residents. They also help those who need assistance with Medicaid, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) forms.
RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteer Program)
Retired senior volunteers assist with activities and events for senior residents through the RSVP Oahu Program, sponsored by the City & County of Honolulu, Department of Community Services’ Elderly Affairs Division. It is a part of AmeriCorps’ Senior Corps, the nation’s largest volunteer network for individuals age 55 and over.
State of Hawaii Department of Labor & Industrial Relations, Office of Community Services
We’re grateful to the State of Hawaii Office of Community Services for a grant-in-aid for our Housing Independence for Families program that provides eligible renters with financial education and the tools they need to become a first-time homeowner.

University of Hawaii at Manoa Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health
The University of Hawaii’s School of Social Work has its beginnings as a social work training program for employees of local social work agencies who were college graduates but lacked professional preparation. Komohale Services serves as a practicum site for students who are working toward their master’s degree through the Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health, providing real-life learning opportunities for students while supporting our initiatives.
